Yes. Paperora is free to download on Google Play and is supported by ads. An optional Pro upgrade — available monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase — removes ads, removes watermarks from exported PDFs, and lifts the limit on OCR text recognition.
Yes. Import photos already on your phone and convert them to PDF, or combine several images into one PDF file.
Use folders for broad categories, tags for anything that spans them, and Favorites for the files you open most. The Recent filter always shows what you worked on last, and search finds any document by name.
Paperora works on Android phones running Android 7.0 (Nougat) or later.
Scanned documents are saved on your phone, in Paperora’s own document library. On Android you can also connect Google Drive in Settings, and Paperora will save your library documents to a Drive folder named Paperora. Files that other apps simply open or share into Paperora stay preview-only and are never copied into your library.
Yes. Scanning, PDF creation, PDF editing and text recognition all run on your device, so they work offline. An internet connection is only needed for ads, for Google Drive saving, and for purchasing the Pro upgrade.
Yes. Paperora includes on-device OCR text recognition: scan a page or pick an image, and the recognized text can be reviewed and edited in the app. Free use is limited to a number of pages, and the Pro upgrade removes that limit.
Yes. Any PDF in your library can be locked with a password from its document menu, and unlocked again from the same place when you no longer need the protection.
